We have a wide selection of surfboards for rent at the Surf School.
Soft-tops / Beginner boards / Foamies
If you’re just beginning your surf journey, we offer beginner-friendly soft tops in various sizes. These boards are perfect for progressing from a stable, high-volume soft top to a more agile one, allowing you to start learning your turns.
Octopus School Members: Rs 150 per hour
Non Members: Rs 300 per hour
Sizes: 6ft to 9ft.

Important: Surfboards require skillful handling, our Octopus crew reserves the right to pull you out of the water if we feel there’s a risk to you or others due to improper board handling.
Hardboards / Intermediate / Advanced Boards
If you’ve been surfing for a while and know how to handle a hardboard safely, we offer a range of sizes, shapes, and tail designs to match your style.

Important: Since hardboards require skillful handling, our Octopus crew reserves the right to pull you out of the water if we feel there’s a risk to you or others due to improper board handling.
Important: Please check the board for any dings or damages with an Octopus crew member before taking it out and when you return it. We charge a minimum of Rs 500 for minor repairs. Learn more here.

Rental terms
Board Condition
When you rent a board from Octopus Surf School, just make sure to return it in the same shape you got it.
Board Inspection
Before you take the board out, we’ll check it over with you to note any existing dings. We’ll do the same when you return it.
Return Time
Make sure to bring the board back by the agreed time. Late returns could mean extra fees.
Payment
Pay all rental fees, plus any damage or late return charges, when you return the board.
Deposit
We might ask for a refundable deposit when you rent the board. This will be returned when you bring the board back in good condition.
About the surf school and the beach
Octopus Surf School operates out of the S2 beach shack on Goa’s Morjim beach.
For the majority of year, this beach is a playground for beginner surfers. The shallow waters offer a safe environment for newcomers to experience the thrill of surfing.
From showers to a restaurant, bar, and even rooms if you are a traveling surfer, S2 has it all.
After your surf lesson, refuel with a healthy breakfast or celebrate your progress with a refreshing beer by the beach.
