Important: Starting June 1st, the Goa Government has banned all water sports and swimming in the sea. Octopus Surf School will be closed for the monsoon season. Depending on the weather gods, we aim to reopen sometime in early September.

Morjim's shallow waters and gentle waves create the perfect playground for beginners to experience the joy of surfing.
We have been teaching people to surf since 2012, our surf lessons cater to individuals, small groups, and even adventurous families craving some beach fun.
Beginner friendly Surf at Morjim beach, Goa
Morjim Beach in Goa, is perfect for beginner surfers looking to catch their first wave. This beach has gentle, rolling waves and shallow waters, an ideal environment to learn the basics and experience surfing.

Our Surf Lessons
Beginner Lesson
Designed for first timers
This lesson is ideal first-timers or those with minimal surfing experience. Here’s what you’ll learn!
Ocean awareness & beach safety
Independent surfboard handling
Basics of paddling, balance, and catching a wave in waist-deep water (ideal for non-swimmers!)
Our experienced instructors will be with you every step of the way. Expect to fall, laugh, and experience the thrill of surfing.
Duration: 1.5 hrs (30 mins on land, 60 mins in water)
Batch Size: 1 - 5
Octopus School Members: Rs 1200 per adult
Non Members: Rs 1800 per adult.

Kids Lesson
Get set for a one-of-a-kind adventure!
Kids are an big part of the Octopus community, our dedicated kids lessons are designed to prioritise safety while having fun learning to surf.
These sessions focus on learning the basics in the shallow white waters by the shore. It's all about creating a fun and nurturing environment where kids can splash around and learn to surf with confidence.
Duration: 1.5 hrs (30 mins on land, 60 mins in water)
Batch Size: 1 - 5
Octopus School Members: Rs 1200 per kid (13 years and below)
Non Members: Rs 1800 per kid

Private Lesson
Prepare for an exclusive experience.
In our private lessons, get personalised one on one training and feedback to master the fundamentals.
Duration: 1.5 hrs (30 mins on land, 60 mins in water) Batch Size: 1 - 2
Octopus School Members: Rs 3000 for single, Rs 5000 for double
Non Members: Rs 3500 for single, Rs 6000 for double

Board Rentals
If you’re just beginning your surf journey or seasoned surfer. We have a wide range of beginner foam boards/soft-tops to hardboards on which to carve those waves on.
Beginner Boards
Members Rs 150, Non-members Rs 300 per hour
Advanced Boards
Members Rs 300, Non-members Rs 600 per hour
Important: Surfboards require skilful handling, our Octopus crew reserves the right to pull you out of the water if we feel there’s a risk to you or others due to improper board handling.

We're located at S2 Beach Shack on Morjim Beach, offering everything you need for a perfect day out.
From showers to a restaurant, bar, and even rooms if you are a traveling surfer, S2 has it all.
