We have been teaching people to surf since 2012, our surf lessons cater to individuals, small groups, and even adventurous families craving some beach fun.

Morjim Beach in Goa, is perfect for beginner surfers looking to catch their first wave. This beach has gentle, rolling waves and shallow waters, an ideal environment to learn the basics and experience surfing.

Our Surf Lessons
Beginner Lesson
Designed for first timers
This lesson is ideal first-timers or those with minimal surfing experience. Here’s what you’ll learn!
Ocean awareness & beach safety
Independent surfboard handling
Basics of paddling, balance, and catching a wave in waist-deep water (ideal for non-swimmers!)
Our experienced instructors will be with you every step of the way. Expect to fall, laugh, and experience the thrill of surfing.
Duration: 1.5 hrs (30 mins on land, 60 mins in water)
Batch Size: 1 - 5 (Batch size varies with conditions)
Per Lesson Rate: Rs 2000 per person. (Ages 14 and above)
Members: Rs 1500 per person.

Kids Lesson
Get set for a one-of-a-kind adventure!
Kids are a big part of the Octopus community! Our dedicated lessons focus on safety and fun, teaching the basics in shallow waters. It’s a fun space where kids can splash, play, and learn to surf.
Duration: 1.5 hrs (30 mins on land, 60 mins in water)
Batch Size: 1 - 5 (Batch size varies with conditions)
Per Lesson Rate: Rs 1500 per kid (Ages 13 and below)

Private Lesson
Prepare for an exclusive experience.
In our private lessons, get personalised one on one training and feedback to master the fundamentals.

Per Lesson Rate: Rs 4000 for single, Rs 7000 for double
Members: Rs 3000 for single, Rs 5000 for double

3 Day Package
3-Day Beginner Lesson Package

Rate: Rs 4500 per adult for 3 days

Season Kids Package
For kids who are at the beach every weekend, we’ve got something special just for them!
Our Local Kids Package offers a lessons every Saturday and Sunday for the entire surf season, perfect for young surfers eager to learn and have fun.
Duration: 1.5 hrs (30 mins on land, 60 mins in water) per day
Batch Size: 1 - 5 (Batch size varies with conditions)
Rate: Rs 15000 per kid. Season (Oct to Apr)
When: 2 classes, every weekend from October 1st 2026 to April 1st 2027

Intermediate Lesson
This course is perfect for those ready to commit to more in-depth learning. Each session will build on the last, ensuring steady progress. We will work closely with you, adapting the lessons to your individual needs, so you get the most out of every wave.
Course Duration: 2.5 hrs daily, with private, personalized instruction for all intermediate lessons.
Lesson fee for 3 days: Rs 10,000 per student, includes 6 hours of complimentary rentals and a Octopus Membership.
Timings: 8 AM to 12 PM, schedule may vary based on conditions and the course focus.
Board Rentals
If you’re just beginning your surf journey or seasoned surfer. We have a wide range of beginner foam boards/soft-tops to hardboards on which to carve those waves on.
Foam Boards: Rs 500 (50% off with membership)
Hard Boards: Rs 800 (50% off with membership)
Important: Surfboards require skilful handling, our Octopus crew reserves the right to pull you out of the water if we feel there’s a risk to you or others due to improper board handling. View rental terms and conditions
Since 2012, we've been teaching and sharing the beautiful art of surfing, boasting a proud history that includes nurturing two former Indian champions.
About Octopus Surf School
We're located at S2 Beach Shack on Morjim Beach, offering everything you need for a perfect day out.
From showers to a restaurant, bar, and even rooms if you are a traveling surfer, S2 has it all.
After your surf lesson, refuel with a healthy breakfast or celebrate your progress with a refreshing beer by the beach.
Our instructors speak English, Hindi, Russian, and Malayalam.
Certified & Safety-First: Every instructor is a certified surf coach and trained first responder (ocean rescue, CPR, and first aid).
